For over three decades Amanda Carr has performed and recorded in the U S and Italy. She has worked with many top bands such as Glenn Miller Band, Artie Shaw Orchestra, Harry James Band, the Boston Pops just to name a few. Amanda has headlined the Euro Jazz Festival in Italy and recorded “live in San Giorgio” with Trio Martinale.
In 1995 with 4 CDs already released, she teamed with the Kenny Hadley Big band and recorded “Common Thread” and it made no.2 on Amazon’s Jazz bestseller. Her 2005 recording, TENDER TRAP
debuted on the National Jazz Charts at 55 and received 4-stars from All Music Guide. She was featured on “Voice of America” with 94 million listeners. When not performing she is busy with her own independent record label and is CEO of the American Big Band Preservation Society.
She will be performing with her all ladies quartet consisting of Pianist/Vocalist Yvonne Monnett, bassist extraordinaire Genevieve Rose and drummer Gillian DeLear.
